Registering New Author

Only Registered Users can create content in a deployment. On most pages at the top RHS is a registration link.

In order to register, some details have to be collected. Fields that are in bright red a mandatory - values must be entered. As can be seen in the image below, only 3 fields are required: a username, password, and firstname.

There are other optional fields; further name fields, email, url and space for a description about the new Author. All these fields can be modified later.

When the fields (and all mandatory) have been given any values, click on Register. After a successful registration, the maintenance pages will display.
