Storyboard allows content to be stored under tree-structured categories. Each category can be both a branch and a leaf - that is, a category can have child categories of its own. For example: Fiction -> Fantasy -> Dark Fantasy. At any Category, content (Stories) can be associated with it.

A Story can be made up of one or more Chapters. In turn, a Chapter will have one or more pages. The amount of text to be displayed on each page is controlled in the source code of the application. When reading a Chapter, the User has a menu of all the other Chapters that can be read. It is useful to be able to comment on a Chapter and Storyboard allows this. The pop-up window shows what comments have already been made on the Chapter. If the User wants, they can also save as preferences the Author of the Story, or the Story itself so they can find it easier in the future.

Only Registered Users can be Authors and add Stories to the Storyboard. Once an Author logs in they are shown their maintenance pages. Options are: to create a New Story, change an existing Story such as removing some Chapters, or deleting the whole Story, adding a new Chapter to a Story. By default the Author Profile is shown on load (stories written, favouties etc.).
