Navigating CategoriesStoryboard content is held in a flexible hierarchical tree structure based on Categories. A Category can be considered as a genre for content to belong to. When users view the category navigation pages they see two lists on the page. The first list displays the child Categories of the current Category. The second lists the Stories that are associated with the Category (Note: the top level category cannot have associated Stories). Clicking on a Category drills down further into the tree, clicking a Story link will open a page that allows that story to be read.
The above pictures show how navigation is handled. The 1st picture shows the top level Categories (Non-Fiction, Fiction), and each's list of child Categories. The second displays a drill-down into the Non-Fiction category, creating a tree like this:
On the right hand side (RHS), the stories associated with the Category as shown as hyperlinks. Clicking on one will cause that story to be displayed for reading. Another point to note is the tree navigation bar above the lists. This allows the browser to navigate to any part of three so far traversed. < Back | Index | Next > |
