Adding Chapters

The actual text content of a Story is held in one or more Chapters. A Chapter can be thought exactly like the Chapter in a book. They can be of any size but must in HTML format. For example, to make a paragraph the <p></p> tags must surround the text. e.g. <p>A paragraph.</p>. If the text is not in proper HTML format then it will all appear in one big messy paragraph too difficult for others to read.

Click on the LHS menu bar at Add Chapter to create a Chapter for a Story. The page will show as above. The first step is to select the Story the Chapter will belong too - this is a mandatory field, if you don't select a Story and try to save an error will occur. The second step is to enter a title for the Chapter, third to enter the actual text (Remember, in HTML format), which can be done by cutting and pasting into the big text area or by Uploading the file directly.

If using File Upload, click on the link and a dialog window will appear. Select the file you want to upload.

Use the Browse... button to find the file you want to upload and them click on Submit. The Status: bar informs whether the file has been saved or if there was an error.

The text can be modified, if so wished. Once done press Submit at the bottom of the page.

Now the Chapter is added to the Story and available to be read and reviewed.
